Zita Louw — Founder of Shiroyumi
At 44, Zita Louw is proof that growing up never has to mean leaving a little magic behind. A devoted anime enthusiast and die-hard Comic Con fan, her love for imaginative worlds, extraordinary fashion and beautifully unconventional things became the spark behind Shiroyumi.
The idea began with a simple frustration: the fashion, accessories and treasures she loved were often difficult—or impossible—to find in South Africa. Rather than continuing to search for them, Zita decided to create the place she wished had existed all along.
And so, Shiroyumi was born—a carefully curated world for fellow dreamers, collectors, rebels and lovers of alternative fashion.
Beyond Shiroyumi, Zita is also an entrepreneur in South Africa's tourism industry, owning a travel business offering tours in Southern Africa. Her experience in creating memorable journeys has found a new expression in Shiroyumi: this time, inviting customers on a journey into a world of fashion, fantasy and unapologetic individuality.
